EdTech startup eMaester to train women educators

eMaester plans to create an army of 50,000 women trainers by 2025

eMaester, a start-up EdTech company has introduced a unique program that would help train educated women to become certified trainers and educators. This is expected to help women, who often find it difficult to take up full time jobs in the corporate sector, due to various reasons, to find meaningful engagement and become educators and online tutors.

With eMaesters innovative program targeted women, they can now get trained and acquire skills along with globally recognized certifications for teaching.  

eMaesters has a focus on upskilling and teaching  skills that will be in high demand in the future. It aims at providing employment opportunities to millions of previously employed and unemployed women in India offering a definite career path as a teacher within the comfort of their home.

Often women find it difficult to take up full-time jobs. Lack of flexible timings, social and family considerations and challenges related to work and family life balance are some of the reasons that prevent larger presence  of women in the labour market. Apart from that there are other reasons also could be cited as low female participation in labour force such as lack of training in emerging technologies and use of digital tools and mediums for instance.

eMaester programs targets at enhancing India’s female Labour Force Participation Rate (LFPR). Enhanced Female LFPR contributes significantly to economic development, economic empowerment of women, better education and nutrition for children and families. The programe eMaestr targets not just  women from the cities and urban India but would also educated  women from across the rural India and villages as well.
