Recruitment start-up “WorkIndia”, to meet HR needs of SMEs

Swiggy has partnered with WorkIndia for recruiting delivery boys. WorkIndia, supports the major food delivery companies and cake shop companies like- Swiggy, Grab and Birdys respectively.

A start-up HR recruitment company WorkIndia to focus on providing specialized recruitment services to MSMEs. Within the small-scale sector, WorkIndia further focuses on food delivery workers.

Around ninety percent of the recruiting firms on WorkIndia ‘s platform are small and medium scale industries. They hire for various positions for hotel, hospitality, fashion and finance, and accounting sectors. And the list endless. Positions like office boys, Dosa makers, chefs, accountants, receptionists, drivers, beauticians are few which are in high demand from employers.

According to data available, in October 2019, WorkIndia witnessed 200,040 unique job postings.  WorkIndia’s vision is to provide meaningful livelihood options to blue-collar workers. Kunal Patil, co-founder, WorkIndia, says.

In an industry characterized by over 60% attrition rate, the biggest challenge for food delivery startups is maintaining a trained workforce of delivery partners across India. Swiggy hires approximately 1000 +, delivery boys, on a monthly basis from WorkIndia.

In October 2019, WorkIndia witnessed 200,040 unique job postings with over 1.5 million candidate downloads, 8.5 million unique visits, 3.5 million active users and 125 million data events making WorkIndia the largest fully automated BCG (Blue and Gray Collar) online job portal in India.
