Abu Dhabi, 4 December 2024: Abu Dhabi Business Week (ADBW) made a grand debut under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. With over 10,000 participants attending on its first day, the event, organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), positioned itself as a cornerstone for shaping the future of global business.

The inaugural day set a dynamic tone with key sessions, including the Abu Dhabi Business Summit, Marketing Lab, Innovation XChange, and the Business Exhibition Ecosystem, bringing together local manufacturers, international corporations, and renowned thought leaders. Discussions ranged from the power of storytelling in business to the impact of artificial intelligence on global challenges, providing a platform for fostering collaboration and innovation.

At the Abu Dhabi Business Summit, H.E. Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, opened the event with a compelling keynote emphasizing the importance of economic partnerships. Dr. Sara Sabry, the first female Arab astronaut, captivated the audience with her inspiring journey, while Formula 1 legend David Coulthard and Dutch football star Clarence Seedorf shared lessons on achieving success during a fireside chat. Magnus Olsson, Co-Founder of Careem, and Elie Habib, CEO of Anghami, delved into their experiences building billion-dollar enterprises, offering invaluable insights to aspiring entrepreneurs.

Renowned entrepreneur Jo Malone shared her story of creating iconic brands, while Mo Gawdat, former Chief Business Officer at Google X, explored how artificial intelligence can transform industries and solve global issues. Randi Zuckerberg, Founder of Zuckerberg Media, highlighted the art of storytelling in building successful brands, a session that resonated deeply with the diverse audience.

The Marketing Lab sessions provided businesses with actionable strategies to enhance branding, navigate digital transformation, and craft compelling narratives. Meanwhile, Innovation XChange showcased cutting-edge technologies, with leaders from Microsoft and Khalifa University discussing the transformative potential of edge computing in real-time decision-making.

Taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from December 4 to 6, 2024, ADBW underscores the Emirate’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly ecosystem and driving sustainable economic development.
