Silicon Beach, Malibu, CA | October 17, 2025 — In a strategic move to deepen its commitment to responsible artificial intelligence and academic innovation, Prow™, the AI-driven fintech platform for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), has appointed Professor Nelson Granados, Ph.D. as its new Chief Intelligence Officer (CIO).

Professor Granados, a globally recognized scholar and technology strategist, brings over two decades of expertise in digital innovation, media economics, and AI transformation. He currently serves as Academic Director of the Executive Doctorate in Business Administration and Executive Director of the Institute for Entertainment, Media, and Sports at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School.

Bridging Academia and Applied AI for SMEs

At Prow™, Dr. Granados will lead the company’s newly established Intelligence Lab, focusing on applied AI research, data ethics frameworks, and academic-industry collaboration. His initial mandate includes strengthening Prow’s research partnerships with leading institutions such as UC Berkeley, as well as shaping the company’s long-term vision to create the AI Operating System for Small Business™ — a platform integrating intelligent payments, predictive analytics, and ESG-aligned financial tools.

“Professor Nelson’s appointment reflects our deep commitment to responsible, human-centered AI innovation,” said Sir Steven Saxton, Founder and CEO of Prow. “His scientific rigor, leadership in digital transformation, and global perspective perfectly align with Prow’s mission to empower small businesses through trustworthy AI and financial intelligence.”

Echoing that sentiment, Katherine Saxton, Co-Founder and Chief Experience & AI Officer at Prow, added:

“Professor Granados embodies the fusion of data science, ethics, and innovation that defines Prow. His insight into how AI, media, and economics intersect will help us build not only smarter technology, but a smarter ecosystem that uplifts entrepreneurs and small businesses worldwide.”

Academic Depth Meets Industry Impact

Dr. Granados holds a Ph.D. in Information and Decision Sciences and an M.S. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. His research on the economic impact of emerging technologies has been published in top-tier academic journals and earned multiple awards, including recognition from Management Science and the Information Systems discipline.

Before entering academia, he worked in IT development and enterprise technology for major corporations. Today, he is also a Forbes contributor, widely known for his commentary on innovation in media, entertainment, and the digital economy.

Prow™ is an AI-driven fintech platform that unifies financial data, payments, and intelligence to empower small and medium-sized businesses. Its suite of products — ProwIT™, ProwPay™, and Green Stable Coin® — enables businesses to simplify decision-making, accelerate payments, and engage in a sustainable, transparent digital economy.

Through data-driven insights and ESG-aligned innovation, Prow aims to redefine how SMEs access and apply financial intelligence in the age of AI.
