Further tariff concessions to come in force on both sides over 5 years, which will lead to lower tariffs for almost 98 percent of exports and 90 per cent of imports from the UAE. Indian exports are set to get zero percent duty access in a span five to ten years, including electronic goods, chemicals and petrochemicals cement, ceramics and machinery accounting for about 9 percent of the value of current exports to the UAE. What are the challenges and expectations from leadership in
the new normal? Leaders and business practitioners address
these issues from a practical perspective in this volume titled
‘Leadership in the new normal,’ published by TDW publishers.

At the core of an entrepreneur’s focus is to be more humane
and this emerged clearly during the pandemic. The new normal
created all kinds of knowledge-centric, data and technology-
driven end enterprises than ever before. In short,we have
seen the heralding of the knowledge economy, or to be more
exact, the transition that’s happening is towards the knowledge
economy enterprise scenario. Manufacturing, agriculture, services
and commerce are all knowledge-intensive and data-driven
activities. The new realities emerging in ‘today’s normal’ will
alter and transform leadership challenges in the days to come.
The leadership of businesses and also that of the managers
have to be much more humane not just in the human resource
management approach but also in the way they approach and
put resources into use. Principles of sustainability are emerging
at the core of businesses.

New normal expects responsible leadership. But how can a
leader be responsible and humane and what are those dimensions?
What does it imply for business leadership?

Following the Covid-19 pandemic, the process of technology adoption has accelerated among businesses of all kinds. Lockdowns and so¬cial distancing have created new avenues and opportunities for businesses. While business closures and failures increased man-ifold, it was seen that those who innovated and adopted new models and technologies could survive.
What are the challenges and expectations from leadership in the new normal? Leaders and business practitioners address these issues from a practical perspective in this volume titled ‘Leadership in the new normal,’ published by TDW publishers.
New normal expects responsible leadership. But how can a leader be responsible and humane and what are those dimen¬sions? What does it imply for business leadership? What does it imply when we speak of the role of humane leadership in the new normal, and does that make any sense in the world of profit-making?
Leadership in the new normal addresses some of these issues that today’s businesses and entrepreneurs have to encounter. Many leaders have contributed to this volume, covering top¬ics such as leadership in uncertain times, innovation, creativity, responsible leadership and the creation of opportunities and how to recognize challenges and create a system to take on the challenges. Indeed the challenge in today’s new normal is an opportunity for business leaders to innovate and develop new business models.
In this book there are twenty seven essays and articles contributed by eleven authors. These con¬tributors comprise leaders, management experts and educators.
