Hyderabad, India, July 3, 2026: Global logistics and transportation company Aramex has honoured Percy Avari, General Manager – India, as he concludes an exceptional 29-year career with the company, recognising his significant contribution to the expansion of Aramex’s business across India and South Asia.

Avari joined Aramex India in 1997 as Financial Controller and went on to hold several key leadership positions, including Regional Manager – Western India and Country Manager for India. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s nationwide logistics network and expanding its portfolio of integrated transportation and supply chain services.

Under his leadership, Aramex significantly expanded its International Express, Freight Forwarding, Domestic Distribution, and Logistics & Supply Chain operations across India. He also supported the growth of Shop & Ship, Aramex’s cross-border parcel forwarding service, enabling Indian consumers to access international online retailers through seamless global delivery solutions.

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Avari successfully transitioned from finance into business leadership and became a respected voice within India’s logistics and e-commerce sectors. Throughout his career, he actively contributed to industry forums and discussions that helped shape the country’s evolving logistics landscape.

Reflecting on his journey, Avari described his nearly three decades with Aramex as a privilege, expressing gratitude to colleagues, customers and business partners who supported the company’s growth. He also indicated that he plans to explore opportunities within the start-up ecosystem following his retirement from corporate leadership.

Commenting on Avari’s retirement, Abbas Panju, Senior Vice President – GCC and Indian Subcontinent at Aramex, said Avari’s leadership, dedication and industry expertise had been instrumental in strengthening the company’s presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing logistics markets, while wishing him success in his future endeavours.

Founded in 1982 and headquartered in the United Arab Emirates, Aramex operates in more than 600 cities across 70 countries with a workforce of over 16,000 employees. The company provides end-to-end logistics solutions spanning International Express, Domestic Express, Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Supply Chain Solutions, and cross-border parcel forwarding services through its Shop & Ship and MyUS brands.
